IQ Glass was commissioned to provide the specialist glazing elements such as internal fire rated glass to the pool in this impressive residential development by Octagon.
The new gated mansion contains 5 bedroom suites and is set within 3 acres of expansive landscaping. A key element of the house design was creating large amounts of natural light within the space whilst retaining a more traditional external appearance.

IQ Glass designed and installed various specialist glazing elements designed to allow natural light to travel seamless through the large living spaces.
A large double height window bathes the internal gym with natural light, designed with the internal glazing surrounding the gym, separating it from the walkways. The frameless internal glass walls include a frameless pivot door, sat seamlessly within the glass partition.
Between the gym and pool, a walk on glass floor and a set of glazed stairs connect the two areas. The walk-on structural elements are finished with a sandblasted effect for an anti-slip surface.
Overlooking the large internal pool is the house kitchen. Due to the location the elevation of glass that separates these areas was required to be fire rated. IQ Glass designed these elements to be frameless, and sit within the structural supports of the wall.
Further into the space IQ designed the hardwood timber frames, fire rated glass wall and doors to the wine cellar.
The result is an elegant luxury dwelling boasting high performance glazing with internal fire rated swimming pool glass for the perfect dedicated spa and gym space.
