New House, Cornwall is a coastal new build located in the historic town of Wadebridge designed by Joan Kinnane Architect. This coastal new build boasts more than 3000 sq ft of living space, a nod to the geometric Art Deco period with the front elevation forming a key design feature showcasing slimline steel frames marrying with the geometric aluminium casement windows and casement doors finished with anthracite grey RAL colour 7026 to complement the structural green steels on the exterior delivering maximum visual impact.

This expansive coastal new build's foundations are built into a sloping site which posed complex logistical and build challenges.
After the marine grade structural steelwork was erected, solar control casement windows and doors were installed, with the tallest part of the marine grade glazing being to the rear elevation where the casement doors are bonded to the extended height of glass with the symmetry continuing to the first floor living space installed with oversized glazing comprising of tall floor to ceiling glass with slim steel frames continuing the industrial pattern.
The blending of the ultra-tall glazing to the rear centre of the dwelling spanning both floors creates a light filled atrium where natural light can flood through the house throughout the day.
The marine grade glazing to this coast new build was designed to withstand extremely high wind loads in harsh marine environments including the fixings and the ironmongery.
All outward opening casement doors to the ground floor reach 2.1m tall finished with stylish black handles.
The result is a unique Art Deco inspired coastal new build in the west of the country.
