Old Fort Road Feature
Old Fort Road was featured in the April issue of Build It magazine in the ‘Renovation & Building’ section under the header ‘Designing an ICF Home’.
ICF (insulating concrete formwork) is a quick, all-weather build, with impressive thermal performances. Durisol blocks (made from wood cement with a concrete core) were used to make the ground floor of our Old Fort Road project.
The walls were clad with gabions, with the stones letting the building merge into its surroundings. IQ’s sliding glass doors were installed onto the property with a solar control coating to maximise natural light and coastal views whilst reducing the heat intake.
