Shortlisted 2016 RIBA South East Awards

Camber Sands

IQ’s project Camber Sands has recently been shortlisted for 2016 RIBA South East Awards. The modern equivalent of a ‘Beach Hut’ located on the sand dunes of East Sussex was shortlisted for its innovative design. The contemporary beach homes uses a large symmetrical elevation of IQ’s slim frame sliding glass doors and structural glazing to fill the gable shape for a contemporary design.
The slim framed sliding glass doors were used on the ground floors to both beach houses, creating a full wall of glazing with minimal interruptions to the fantastic front row sea/beach view with direct access onto the sand.

Walker and Martin Architects was the architectural practice who created the design for Camber Sands which is up against another 11 projects shortlisted of local practices.
